Tucson Tragedy and the Liberals’ “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” Game

Posted By on January 12, 2011

Jared Loughner took his 9mm Glock handgun, fully loaded, with him when he left his home on the morning of Saturday, January 8, 2011.

He took a taxi cab to the Safeway store in Tucson, Arizona where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was meeting with her district’s constituents. He was obsessed with her, had grown to hate the congresswoman, telling friends that he thought she was stupid, the district he lived in was stupid, and that the currency being used today should be abolished.

Loughner arrived at that “Congress on Your Corner” event with one determined plan: murder Gabby Giffords.

And this madman nearly succeeded — he took his loaded Glock and coldly shot Giffords point-blank in the head, then started shooting people at random.

He had the forethought to bring extra rounds of ammo with him — more than 60 rounds. While this man killed six innocent people and put many more in the hospital, it could have been far bloodier, far deadlier, had it not been for everyday people at the event who heroically tackled him, took away his gun, and held him down until police arrived on the scene.

On that horrible Saturday, Loughner planned — or so it appears — to become a murderer. After all, that’s why he brought his loaded gun and took a cab to the event. Based on some “good-bye” posts on his Facebook page, it appeared that he fully expected to be killed that day.

Quiz Time — who’s to blame here for these six murders?

Jared Loughner.

Who’s to blame here for the attempt on Rep. Giffords’ life?

Jared Loughner.

Who’s to blame here for putting innocent people in the hospital, some with life threatening gunshot wounds?

Jared Loughner.

Who’s responsible for his own murderous actions?

Jared Loughner.

OOPS, WRONG ON ALL! You’re playing the liberals’ “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” game.

The game goes something like this:

Pick a card from the game deck and read it aloud — such as this one:

“Jared Loughner, the suspected gunman in Tucson, Arizona, was influenced by (fill in the blank) to kill.”

Hints for winning the “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” game:

Proceed with caution, choosing your words carefully, but speak with authority, especially if you don’t know what you’re talking about. Adopt a bit of a sneer when responding, if possible.

There are extra game points at stake if the response inserted in the blank excludes ALL references to Democrats or liberals, and uses a conservative figure or leader’s name, a conservative movement, or any policy/program that the federal government has rammed down Americans’ throats that has a majority disapproval rating in the country.

Terms like “vitriol” and “angry rhetoric” are key to plum appearances on liberal TV news programs. Speed of response is also important… being the first to blame someone other than the actual murderer for a shooting spree or terrorist attack or other heinous act is an imperative to winning this game.

No points are issued, and no TV appearances or news interviews, either, if you should do any of the following: blame Loughner, blame his mental problems, blame his parents, blame his drug use, blame his involvement in Satanic shrines, blame Nazis or Hitler, blame nihilists, blame communists, blame anti-Jew hate groups, blame the ramped-up violence on television, films, or video games that he enjoyed.

If you can work in that the military is also to blame because the US Army upset him when they rejected his enlistment because he was “unqualified” (when a young, able-bodied man is determined to be “unqualified” to serve in the Army, that’s cause for alarm, but embarrasses or hurts the feelings of the rejectee, so blame can justifiably be issued), then bonus points will be issued.

Points will be subtracted if you accidentally acknowledge that Loughner didn’t vote in the November 2010 election, wasn’t political, and was a registered independent.

The “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” game results so far…

Daily Kos, NY Times, and countless other liberal sources have blamed former Alaskan governor and tea party champion Sarah Palin. All liberal extremists, who are doing quite well at “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” — Palin, living thousands of miles away in Alaska, is their primary scapegoat.

Aging Viet Nam traitor Jane Fonda has also blamed Palin (Glenn Beck and others), too… add to that anti-capitalist Michael Moore, film critic Roger Ebert, and unfunny comedienne Kathy Griffin who has been on-again, off-again shacking up with boy toy Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin’s ex-fiance. All liberal extremists. D-lister, pathetic-cougar Griffin is particularly good at this game. If she can publicly insult and stomp on Palin, blaming Bristol’s mother for anything, including the murders of six people (and get some valuable face time on TMZ or the news — important for aging, unfunny, self-absorbed comediennes), Griffin has happily admitted to the press in the past that she will step up to the plate. However, the gals at “The View” haven’t bought in to the “blame Palin” parroting, so they won’t be winning this round of the “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” game.

Luke Russert, son of the late newsman Tim Russert, blamed ObamaCare anger and backlash without a shred of proof and long before any media knew the shooter’s name, let alone his motivation for murdering innocent people. Luke is doing well to ignore the journalistic integrity of his late father — lack of integrity really helps when trying to win this game.

Democrat Sheriff Clarence Dupnik of Pima County, Arizona has blamed anger, racism, vitriol in the state (extra points and TV appearances, woo hoo!) and talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Dupnik has been a flaming liberal for years, but now it’s affecting the quality of his work and is potentially putting citizens’ lives at risk. I’d be apprehensive to live in Tucson with this man as sheriff, but he’s a natural for the “Don’t You Dare Blame the Murderer!” game.

Democrat Sen. James Clyburn of South Carolina has blamed the reading of the Constitution on the House floor earlier that week. Because there are so many historical examples of people going nuts and shooting others when the Constitution is read aloud. No extra points for blatant lunacy, Senator. Even Rosie O’Donnell would wince at this one.

Former Democrat Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska has blamed the upcoming vote in Congress to repeal ObamaCare.

I really suck at this game — and so does the majority of thinking Americans who refuse to enable and mollycoddle terrorists, and irresponsible, bad, and/or deranged people and instead blame or denigrate those who are not guilty of a danged thing.

We all blame the murderer.

From Hot Air, Clyburn: Reading the Constitution provoked murder spree in Tucson, or something; Update: Referring to Birther outburst?:

In the race to see which politico makes the biggest ass out of himself over the shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona, we can report that so far the frontrunners appear to be Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina and former Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska, both Democrats. In a rambling interview on the radio with Ed Schultz, Clyburn complains about people attempting to “delegitimize the President” and suggested that the reading of the Constitution in Congress last week had something to do with the shooting.
