Coming Soon, Plasma from Biggest Solar Flare in Years… Will Al Gore Blame AGW?

Biggest solar flare in years and the emitted plasma coming will disrupt telecommunications and satellites, say scientists
How long before climate change huckster and junk science embracer Al Gore and Democrats in Congress start blaming arrogant Americans and bogus anthropogenic global warming for this huge sun flare?
And how many gullible global warmists and enviro-nuts will fall for it?
From CBS Los Angeles, Biggest Solar Flare In Years Headed For Earth:
Bob Rutledge, lead forecaster with the National Space Weather Prediction Center, tells KFWB’s Michael Shappee these solar outbursts have the potential to wreak havoc with earthly communications.
After the initial blast of radiation accompanying the coronal mass ejection (CME) — the first of its magnitude to occur in the new solar cycle of activity — a huge cloud of charged particles is headed toward Earth and is expected likely to arrive on Feb. 17-18.
Among the many potential disasters that can come from a massive CME: disturbances in the planet’s geomagnetic field that may lead to malfunctioning telecom and GPS satellite equipment.
While forecasters predict no major impact on our telecommunications infrastructure, scientists have pointed out the sun is now ramping up ahead of an expected solar maximum around 2013.
From AccuWeather, Immense Solar Flare to Cause Northern Lights Show, Interference with Communications:
The sun has been and continues to be extremely active, unleashing solar flares from a sunspot region that was barely visible last week. The sunspot has grown in size to more than 62,000 miles across, a width nearly eight times the width of our Earth.
The first flare was categorized by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center in Colorado as a Class M6.6. Then on Monday, a more intense X2.2 occurred. This was the strongest flare reported in four years. These flares will ramp up the displays of northern lights for sky-watchers living in northern latitudes and lucky enough to have clear skies. Click here for a description of the classes of solar flares.
The M6.6 is described as “moderate” in intensity, and the X2.2 is described as a “major” event. The X2.2 is already causing disruptions to satellites and communications systems. NOAA’s prediction center has forecast the possibility of additional solar flares from the same sunspot region over the next two or three days.
From SignOn San Diego, UCSD tracking huge solar flare that might cause aurora:
The largest solar flare to erupt on the sun since December 2006 has sent plasma streaming toward Earth, a usually benign but sometimes troublesome phenomenon that’s being monitored by a sophisticated satellite instrument developed by UC San Diego.
Such flares can disrupt telecommunications on Earth, in addition to setting off the wondrous aurora borealis.
“The plasma from the flare contains ionized particles that could cause an aurora borealis in the northern latitudes,” said Bernard Jackson, a research scientist at UCSD’s Center for Astrophysics and Space Science. “The plasma should hit Earth’s magnetosphere on Thursday.”

This is climate disruption obviously. Remember, it’s not the sun which runs the climate, it’s CO2. So Co2 will be the cause of communication problems and the aurora borealis which should happen in the next few days. It’s all because of your big SUV buddy.
Drink the kool-aid comrade, drink the kool-aid.
for the ‘science-interested’, this is an example of solar-radiation across the entire spectrum.
which no-one in the ‘buck-rogers goes to mars’, fraternity ever, ever wants to address.
this, despite the gorite-clowns is the reality of earths weather systems. and why as there is no way of shielding from these -sub-atomic particles mankind will never be able to travel for extended periods outside the protection of earths magnetic field
