Oops: Sen. Schumer’s “Hot” Mic Exposes Dems’ Propaganda, Using the Word “Extreme” for Tea Party & Americans Who Want Congress to Stop Spending (video)

Sen. Chuck 'Let Them Eat Pork!' Schumer is now describing conservative Americans as 'extremists' with newest round of Democrat propaganda to shut up the American majority | Image created by Tennyson Hayes

“I think there is a good reason why the propaganda system works that way. It recognizes that the public will not support the actual policies. Therefore it is important to prevent any knowledge or understanding of them.”
~ Avram Noam Chomsky

Propaganda is a political weapon of a despotic mind…

Yesterday, a quick team meeting with elected Democrat Congress critters included schooling them on what language, what terms to use with the press in a conference call so as to smear and discredit millions of Americans. Yes, these low-lifes are adamant about maligning American taxpaying citizens who are angry and sick and tired of the rampant national debt and the spiraling deficit, who want the government to stop its penchant for spending, to stop the government’s funding of leftist organizations like NPR, PBS, and Planned Parenthood with taxpayer money.

It’s not surprising that the Democrats are cranking up their propaganda machine to create a false reality to distort the facts, to further dismantle the Constitution, to silence the majority of Americans. They’ve been doing it 24/7 during this nightmarish era of “hopenchange.”

Constitutional moron Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been instructed by the caucus on how to present information to the press, using the word “extreme” to describe any significant cuts to the federal budget, and implied that the word could also taint the millions upon millions of Americans who attend tea party rallies and who want Congress to be fiscally responsible, to stop their wild spending and burgeoning welfare entitlements. Americans who are disgusted with these spoiled frat brats who are plunging the next few generations into a hell hole. Democrats are unified in calling them all “extremists.”

And we know all this because Schumer’s mic was unknowingly “hot” when he covered with Democrats like California’s liberal Sen. Barbara “Ma’am” Boxer some key words to use in a press conference yesterday.

Oops.

These statist propagandist weasels, of whom Schumer has been revealed as the King Propagandist Weasel, do not want to fix America’s dire financial mess or unemployment disaster, but to instead play around with politics and semantics to manipulate the public and to be poised to smear anyone who doesn’t support their ridiculously teeny budget cuts and radical agenda. Attack the tea party, attack the GOP, attack conservatives, and label them “extremists” if they want a federal government that is smaller and strives for sustainable, responsible spending.

Conservative talk show host Mark Levin explains in the video below how propaganda is used and examines what Sen. Schumer and other extremist Democrats are doing to undermine the will of the people.

Only 16 percent of Americans are satisfied with congressional incumbents, per a new Rasmussen poll — 56 percent want them all OUT.

From CBS New York, Open Microphone Snares Sen. Chuck Schumer:

WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork/AP) – Senator Chuck Schumer may have some explaining to do after having some explaining to do.

Tuesday, Schumer was caught going over budget talking points with his fellow Democratic senators on a conference call. Apparently Schumer didn’t know some reporters had already joined the call, and the exchange was caught on tape.

Schumer was heard explaining to his fellow Democrats why he favors characterizing spending cuts proposed by the GOP as “extreme” and “draconian.”

“I always use the word ‘extreme,’ that’s what the caucus instructed me to do the other week,” Schumer said.

“The subtext of this is, the only way we can avoid a shutdown is for (House Speaker John) Boehner to come up with a reasonable compromise and not just listen to what the Tea Party wants,” Schumer said.

From The Hill:

Reporters on a conference call heard the outspoken senator tell other lawmakers before it officially began, “I always use the word ‘extreme’ … That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.”

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are currently deadlocked over a proposal to fund the government through the rest of the fiscal year and avert a government shutdown.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said the comments were “not helpful” to the negotiations.

From New York Times, On a Senate Call, a Glimpse of Marching Orders:

Moments before a conference call with reporters was scheduled to get underway on Tuesday morning, Charles E. Schumer of New York, the No. 3 Democrat in the Senate, apparently unaware that many of the reporters were already on the line, began to instruct his fellow senators on how to talk to reporters about the contentious budget process.

After thanking his colleagues — Barbara Boxer of California, Benjamin L. Cardin of Maryland, Thomas R. Carper of Delaware and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut — for doing the budget bidding for the Senate Democrats, who are facing off against the House Republicans over how to cut spending for the rest of the fiscal year, Mr. Schumer told them to portray John A. Boehner of Ohio, the speaker of the House, as painted into a box by the Tea Party, and to decry the spending cuts that he wants as extreme. “I always use the word extreme,” Mr. Schumer said. “That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.”

A minute or two into the talking-points tutorial, though, someone apparently figured out that reporters were listening, and silence fell.

Then the conference call began in earnest, with the Democrats right on message.

“We are urging Mr. Boehner to abandon the extreme right wing,” said Ms. Boxer, urging the House to compromise on the scale of spending cuts and to drop proposed amendments that would deny federal financing for Planned Parenthood and for government agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency.

From Axis of Right, Schumer’s Open-Mic Moment:

While this kind of unscripted/open-mic moment is one that we expect from partisans trying to get on the same page when criticizing their opponents, these are times when playing partisan games with our fiscal future can actually hurt the nation in the long-run. It seems that Schumer and crew aren’t interested in fixing our problems, but can’t wait to play the old blame-game before negotiations really even start! In a lot of ways it’s very sad, as well as dangerous.

From Irish Central, “Hot Mic” shows it’s all about politics and not our country:

The “hot mic” syndrome struck again when Senator Schumer exposed the callous attitude politicians have towards the future of our country. While the leadership is spending money like drunken sailors (sorry sailors) on shore leave, they give us the impression they are trying to restore fiscal sanity.

Before a conference call to be attended by Democrat leaders and the press, Schumer made sure they had their stories straight before the press got on the phones…Only problem is the press was already on, listening and recording every word.

His talking points relayed to his fellow Democratic senators were to tell the reporters that the GOP is refusing to negotiate. Schumer “told the group to make sure they label the GOP spending cuts as ‘extreme.’ “Because that is what the caucus (democrats) instructed me to do last week”.

Never mind that we are borrowing money to run this bloated government, never mind we are heaping extraordinary debt on ourselves and our children and grandchildren…. It’s all about win baby!

Of course the Republicans ran with this and said it exposed the attitude of the democrats that “any cut in the budget was extreme” and the democrats want to shut the government down as it will make the Republicans look bad”.

In the meantime, the guy that Obama charged with getting this budget together and working with both sides to find a budget solution, VP Joe Biden…is busy skiing in Aspen Colorado.

Lets stop the game playing and balance the budget. Because right now you are heaping so much debt that the next generations of Americans will be paying for the “services” that we are getting today.

From Daily Beast Cheat Sheet, Schumer Caught on Open Mic:

At least one staffer in Senator Chuck Schumer’s office is probably having a very bad day. The New York senator was caught briefing colleagues on what to tell reporters during a conference call with reporters about the budget process. Apparently unaware that reporters were already on the line, Schumer ran down a set of talking points, including suggesting that Speaker John Boehner was handcuffed by Tea Party members of his caucus and calling the GOP’s proposed spending cuts as extreme. “I always use the word extreme,” Schumer said, “That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.” Then the talk suddenly cut off, perhaps when someone realized the gaffe. Funny thing, though: The Democrats on the line were adamant that spending cuts were extreme, and said John Boehner was being held hostage to Tea Party-backed representatives.

From Camp of the Saints, Allen West: Straight Talker Walking The Walk:

As you probably have heard, Chucky ’The Slime’ Schumer was caught by reporters speaking to what he though were just some of his fellow Social Democrats before a scheduled teleconference. In his remarks, Chucky revealed some of his Party’s strategy for demonizing and delegitimizing the GOP and the Right.

The Lonely Conservative has the details here.

In an interview today with Robert Costa of NRO, Representative Allen West tore the Sleazy Senator from New York a new one:

“Charles Schumer’s faux pas yesterday just shows how mindless and out of touch these guys are,” West says. “The Tea Party wants fiscal responsibility. If he thinks that is a bad thing, if he thinks that is a radical thing, he should go back to New York and seek a new line of employment. If he wants to come and talk about fiscal responsibility, I’m in 1708 Longworth.”

If we had a few more men and women like this leading the Republicans in the Congress, we wouldn’t find ourselves facing the very real possibility that the GOP Establishment is going to wimp out and screw-up their mandate again.

Reason #24,691 for not trusting the liberal media: NewsBusters noted which of the leftist TV news media covered Schumer’s blunder (hahahaha) and if they didn’t cover it, what they decided was more important to report… Chuck Schumer Caught on Tape Instructing Fellow Dems on How to Spin Media, Networks Ignore:

New York Senator Chuck Schumer was caught on tape Tuesday instructing his Democratic colleagues on how to spin the media with regard to “extreme” Republicans and their budget cuts. “I always use extreme…That is what the caucus instructed me to use,” Schumer blurted.

The liberal senator was apparently unaware his comments were being recorded (The remarks were made moments before a conference call with reporters began.) Tuesday’s nightly newscasts on NBC, ABC and CBS all skipped the story. On Wednesday, Good Morning America, Today and Early Show did the same.

[...]

Other journalists at the Times seemed to follow the proper wording. In a March 30 op-ed entitled “Why We’re Fasting,” food writer Mark Bittman portrayed the Republicans as willing to “starve” poor Americans “to death”:

“I stopped eating on Monday and joined around 4,000 other people in a fast to call attention to Congressional budget proposals that would make huge cuts in programs for the poor and hungry….These supposedly deficit-reducing cuts — they’d barely make a dent — will quite literally cause more people to starve to death, go to bed hungry or live more miserably than are doing so now. And: The bill would increase defense spending.”

While ABC’s GMA found no time for Schumer and his planned spin for journalists, the ABC program did cover breast-feeding dolls and whether it’s “too much too soon.”

CBS’s Early Show featured a former girlfriend of the late JFK Jr. She informed viewers that kissing him was “magical.”

NBC’s Today covered a conversation between two babbling babies.

  1. callmebill says:

Schumer is a smug socialist and has had it in for conservatives for years. Calling conservatives ‘extremists’ is part of the Alinksy agenda. Why NY keeps electing him is mind boggling.

  2. ric says:

    democrats caught again

  3. don says:

The only ones I see being extremists are the liberals. They monopolize the national TV news and newspapers, scream their childish lies and when they are proven wrong say nothing and find something new to lie about. The election in 2010 got rid of a lot of them. 2012 will sweep more out to the gutter where they belong. I hope Chuckie Schumer is one of them – NY deserves better than this @$$hat.
