Un Bébé Pour Carla? France’s Lovely First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Is Reportedly Pregnant… No Baby Confirmation Yet from the Sarkozys

Is French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy pregnant? No official word released yet, but the media across the pond believe Pres. Sarkozy's wife is with child
It was a long, bitterly cold winter. So, it could be that the first fragrant blossoms of springtime in Europe have intoxicated the international media and French magazines into going punch-drunk ga-ga over the possibility that Italo-French Carla Bruni — former supermodel and singer — and the wife of France’s Pres. Nicolas Sarkozy, could be pregnant. Or, as they say in France, enceinte. The “maybe-baby” rumors have been flying and are some saying that they are overshadowing this weekend’s British royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Evidence of a slight baby bump has reportedly been detected in paparazzi photos, and tips have been received from anonymous insiders. If she is pregnant, this will be her first child with the French president. Nicolas and Carla have been married since February 2008.
No official word yet, either way, from the Élysée Palace. Which tends to indicate to the French public that “yes, she is.” There will be pronounced disappointment across the European continent — perhaps even in the United States — if it’s revealed that Carla is not pregnant.
Priorities, you know.

(CBS) French president Nicolas Sarkozy and wife Carla Bruni are reportedly expecting their first child together.
A few French publications, including the weekly magazine Closer, have reported that Bruni, 43, is in the early stages of her pregnancy.
“We would not have revealed this information without being completely certain about it,” Laurence Pieau, a journalist at Closer said, according to the Daily Mail.
The Elysee Palace has neither denied nor confirmed the claims.
Bruni, a singer and former model, has a 9-year-old son, named Aurelian, with philosophy professor Raphael Enthoven, while Sarkozy, 54, has three sons from two previous marriages.
She has previously spoken out of her desire to have children with Sarkozy, telling Vanity Fair in 2008 that “it would be a dream.”

The 43-year-old supermodel/French First Lady is the mother of a 10-year-old son named Aurélien, but if she is indeed once again pregnant, this would be her first kid with President Nicolas Sarkozy. CARLA Bruni is at the centre of frenzied speculation in France that she is pregnant.
Claims the First Lady is expecting her first child with President Nicolas Sarkozy emerged in France’s version of weekly magazine Closer.
Carla told Vanity Fair in 2008 that she wanted to try for a baby. She said then: “Having children with Nicolas would be a dream.”

A spokesman for the French President yesterday refused to confirm or deny the claims. He said: “This is none of my business.”
It’s not the first time that the international media has speculated and gossiped about Carla being pregnant with Sarkozy’s child — it’s the third time in three years. Is three the charm?
