Keith Olbermann’s New Cable Show Gig with Al Gore Is Losing Viewers Fast

MSNBC's former left-wing extremist Keith Olbermann... his new liberal cable TV gig with Al Gore is bombing
Leftist loon Keith Olbermann’s new cable show on Current TV — the “Al Gore Man-Bear-Pig Network” — is already showing signs of bombing.
The viewership of the late Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer infomercials likely draw in and hold bigger crowds.
Sniffle.
Poor Bathtub Boy.
It may be comforting to all 17 of the millionaire madman’s most loyal fans that celebrity-bashing blogger Perez Hilton is rooting for Olby to not crash and burn.
Reported by Business Insider, Keith Olbermann Lost Nearly 30% Of His Viewers In His Second Week:
After an impressive first week, which saw him beating CNN in the demo on his first night out, Keith Olbermann’s ratings have taken a tumble.
In its second week on Al Gore’s Current TV Countdown With Keith Olbermann lost nearly 30% of its total viewers and 30% of its demo viewers, reports Deadline.
“Olbermann attracted an average of 93,000 viewers in its target 25-to-54 demo, down 29% from the first week. The total audience, at 253,000, was down 28.5%.”
It stands to reason Olbermann and Current executives might attribute the dip in ratings to the long July Fourth holiday weekend. Business Insider also reports Olbermann’s people will probably focus on the fact that, even with 30 percent less viewers, Countdown has so far brought in more viewers than the entire network had before the show’s arrival.
From Olbermann Watch, Countdown Ratings Continue to Slide:
In a rare burst of transparency, the suits at Current have generously given us ratings for the second week of Countdown… not night by night, mind you, but simply the average numbers for week two. You will recall how Olby trumpeted his ‘key demo’ (25-54) ratings for the first week, an astonishing, jaw-dropping 133,000 viewers. Of course what Oralmann didn’t mention is that, compared with all the other programs on genuine cable news channels, that puts him in about 40th place.
Those lackluster numbers tumbled further in the second week of Countdown on Current. Rather than building an audience, Edward R Olbermann appears to be driving them off, as week two found his 133K viewers dwindling to 93,000. In the all-important, nothing-else-matters, ultra-significant ‘money demo’ (to quote Olby). And plugging that number into the chart finds the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann now plummeting to 48th place, behind even such dayside MSNBC failures as D-Rat and the Daily Rundown.
Funny thing, Herr Olbermahn didn’t crank out any self-congratulatory tweets about these new numbers. What an odd oversight.
Matt over at Conservative Hideout 2.0 takes more to the high road on Olby’s misfortune (you’re such a prince, Matt) — MSM Death Watch: Olbermann Loses 30% of Audience in Second Week:
Apparently, hyperbole, lies, and insane ranting can only take you so far…
[...]
To be fair, Olbermann is on a tiny network that isn’t on every cable and satellite system, and many people may not know of it’s existence. At the same time, if Olbermann was such the media “god” that he is thought to be, wouldn’t he would be pulling in the masses? Think about it; if I started Conservative Hideout TV, and signed Glenn Beck to do a show, how long would it take to get a million viewers? Probably not too long.
Olbermann has also been bounced by the New York Yankees for posting a photo on his overworked Twitter account of a coach signaling pitches — reported by Big League Sports, Keith Olbermann Bounced From Yankees’ Old Timer’s Day Duties:
Keith Olbermann has been the in-stadium play-by-play guy for Yankees’ Old-Timers’ Day, which was played earlier this afternoon, for the last decade. This year, however, the Yankees decided to go in a different direction and relieved Olbermann of his duties. From the New York Post:
The Yankees were not happy with Olbermann posting a photo on Twitter earlier this season of a coach signaling pitches to their batters in the on-deck circle. So they decided to bounce the liberal loudmouth and will have Bob Wolff and Suzyn Waldman provide the commentary for today’s game instead.
Upon being made aware of the Post’s blurb, Olbermann provided reaction on his blog, Baseball Nerd. His only complaint was a fair one — though he followed up said complaint with tales of journalistic class and courage — considering no one from the Yankees alerted him of the decision and instead eventually found out about it from someone outside of the organization.

I see him going the way of client #9
