Bless My Stars, Countdown to Frugal Café Blog Zone’s 2 Millionth Visitor… Anytime Now — Update: 2M Reached!

I knew the blog was getting close, but I just realized a few minutes ago HOW close it is to getting its 2 millionth visitor.
Visitor count at 8:56 pm, Arizona, USA time:
For large blogs with real budgets, advertising campaigns, and pedigreed writers, 2 million visitors is child’s play, less than a month of visitors. But for this blog, which began as an accidental political/social commentary offshoot of my main “how to save money” Frugal Café website, it’s nothing short of amazing.
From my first anemic post on November 22, 2008 to the present, there have been days of joys and others of sheer frustration, such as when I’d pour my heart, soul, and rage into historical or political posts that took several hours or days to research and write and might attract a few dozen readers, but any post about Russian spy Anna Chapman in a cheesecake pose in scanty clothing would get thousands of hits.
Which validates The Other McCain’s “Rule 5″ for increasing Internet traffic.

I wrote my 1,000th post on October 23, 2009, and am currently at 4,086. No wonder my fingers are so tired!
To all the wonderful readers and conservative bloggers out there that I’ve befriended and/or corresponded with (love all you guys and gals, especially Roxie, Norma, Bob, Doug, VF, SamHenry, Mind-Numbed Robot, Matt, Steve, Pat, William, Deb, and Larry — also to the awesome conservative pundit Mark “The Great One” Levin, who tweeted a link here once and I was deluged with visitors for several days) and to those whom I have royally ticked off, I thank you all. To the incomparable queen of conservative blogging and journalism, Michelle Malkin, who kindly wrote, “Keep up the great blogging” in my autographed copy of her Culture of Corruption book (yes, she really did write that), a special thanks for all that you do for the tea party movement and conservative principles, while exposing corruption and hypocrisy on both sides of the political fence.
I thank you all for the advice, the links and trackbacks, the encouragement and friendship, the laughter and tears, and of course, thanks for the hits!

Update #3: Huzzah, TWO MILLION reached!
The lucky 2,000,000th blog visitor lives in Iceland (c’mon, how cool is that?) and checked in at 1:01 am AZ time to read an April posting about the rumors swirling about France’s First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy possibly being pregnant. Yessiree, I have readers in ICELAND — and not all of them want to read about sexy Russian spies, thank goodness, but rather, sexy French-Italian former models.
Rule 5 wins again.

You can call me Vicki, or admin, or even Frugal Cafe Goddess… j/k on the last one. I’m not very picky. I use a different moniker when I comment on websites (as you’re aware), just for my own privacy. So when I use that name on other blogs, I’d prefer that be used then. However, a number of blog masters know who I am when I use the “CF” name, and have referred to me at times in the comments section as “Vicki.” No worries, mate — whatever you want to call me is likely fine. If you’re quoting material from here, you can refer/credit it to Frugal Cafe or to me.
I just called you “Vicki;” I hope that is okay. I don’t remember seeing all of your comment last night. and I am not really sure what you are saying when you say this:

Oops, I’ve mucked that up, Naamloos – what I meant was that if you’re responding directly to me in the Comments section to a comment that I’ve written on your blog to refer to me with the “CF” name. Not if you were linking to or quoting from my blog for inclusion in your blog. My bad.
I wrote that drivel in the wee hours of the night, and not all the brain cells were firing. Sorry for the confusion. And frankly, even if you did call me “Vicki” in response to a comment where it has the “CF” name, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. So go ahead and post it – calling me Vicki is A-OK.
