Democrats in Denial: Obama’s Gallup Numbers Hit All-Time Low, Reid Thinks Tea Party Will Fade Away

Pres. Obama golfing last year while on vacation at Martha's Vineyard estate - POTUS approval numbers hit an all-time low
Nevada Sen. Harry Reid believes the tea party movement will fade away into the cowboy poetry sunset and that everything that is wrong in this country is the fault of Republicans, including the downgrading of America’s credit rating. He has predicted that Tea Party candidates up for re-election in 2012 will be defeated.
The minority leader obviously hasn’t been checking the Whiner in Chief’s plummeting approval numbers lately. Or needs to up his meds.
Denial and deception, with a glass of milk — it’s what Democrats have for breakfast these days.
From Los Angeles Times, Gallup: Obama job rating sinks below 40% for first time:
President Obama’s summer woes have dragged his approval rating to an all-time low, sinking below 40% for the first time in Gallup’s daily tracking poll.
New data posted Sunday shows that 39% of Americans approve of Obama’s job performance, while 54% disapprove. Both are the worst numbers of his presidency.
Obama’s approval rating has hovered in the 40% range for much of 2011, peaking at 53% in the weeks following the death of Osama bin Laden.
But Americans’ view of his job performance continued to tick downward as the debt-ceiling debate heated up. By the time he signed legislation averting a federal default, he was mired in the low-40% range.

Obama is set to launch something of a counter-offensive on Monday with a three-day bus tour of the Midwest, a trip that includes two stops in Iowa. The White House denied that the itinerary was politically motivated, however.
It’s not just Gallup reflecting American voters’ growing disapproval of Obama. Today’s Rasmussen Reports presidential approval index is at a dismal negative 22 for POTUS — he has been at -22 for five consecutive days now, and a mere 20 percent of the nation’s voters “Strongly Approve” of the way that Obama is performing in his role as president:
Approval index of the president, through today, for the month of August and latter part of July 2011:
The last time Barack Obama had a positive approval index rating (zero or higher) from Rasmussen polling was more than two years ago, on June 29, 2009.
Another liberal media pack of lies from the New York Times exposed by Warner Todd Houston, Big Journalism, Another Example of How the NYTimes Warps Truth:
This weekend the New York Times, the fishwrap of record, had yet another one of its left-wing excuses for political analysis, this one about rumors of how Team Obama intends to carry on its continuing re-election campaign on matters economic. The piece is so chock full of bias that you don’t even have to get past the first paragraph to see it.
Apparently it took two writers to stuff this thing full of left-wing bias and falsehoods as it is given the by-line of Binyamin Appelbaum and Helene Cooper.
Check out this first paragraph:
As the economy worsens, President Obama and his senior aides are considering whether to adopt a more combative approach on economic issues, seeking to highlight substantive differences with Republicans in Congress and on the campaign trail rather than continuing to pursue elusive compromises, advisers to the president say.
Now just look at the tenor of this paragraph. It is presented as if the President is not responsible for the economic downturn because he hasn’t done enough left-wing interfering with the economy. And it ends with the blatantly false claim that Obama is the one has been seeking “compromises” with the Republicans.
None of these contentions are true.
The reason the economy is failing is because Obama has indulged too many socialist, left-wing policies already. Further, he’s not yet, not once made any attempt to make compromises with the GOP. In fact, just the opposite. He’s insisted that it has to be the Republicans that need to drop “politics” and compromise with him.
In fact, all the fixes to the economy in the recent debt ceiling debate were offered by the GOP not the White House. As it happens, it is the GOP that has compromised with the White House to try and get the policies passed in the Senate. All Obama did in this most recent debate was to offer bromides about compromise while expecting that GOP to be the ones doing it.
So, reading the very first paragraph of this NYT piece leaves readers with the impression that Obama has not yet put into place enough socialist policies and has been compromising with the GOP too much while they have not compromised with him. All of this is simply a lie.
A must-read of an outstanding analytical piece here on Obama, I’ve included the first three paragraphs — written by J.R. Dunn, American Thinker, Burying Obama:
Let me hasten to make it clear before the Secret Service kicks the door in: we’re not speaking of the three-dimensional, physical Obama, but the image of Obama created by the DNC, the media, and assorted political mercenaries to sell him and his agenda to an unsuspecting nation. We need to rid ourselves of Obama as an influence, as an example, as a lens through which to view the world, as a figure to look up to, admire, or emulate in any sense.
Simply put, there must be no “Obama legacy.” Obama the man is avidly digging himself deeper into his own personal hole and will soon vanish into the depths of the earth. It is Obama the legend that must be buried.
Every liberal president fails. The more “successful” he is, in the sense of actually putting his policies in place, the more clearly he reveals the emptiness of that bastard combination of socialism, Marxism, fascism, and Progressivism that goes under the name “liberalism.” Franklin Roosevelt triggered a second dip in the Great Depression in 1937, delivering America to the same wretchedness in which he found it upon taking office. Lyndon Johnson threw the country into abject chaos for fifteen years with his “Great Society,” essentially “New Deal, the Sequel.” Jimmy Carter… well, where do we start?
Excellent summary from Bob Belvedere at The Camp of the Saints on why America is turning off Obama when he appears on the television — here’s the opening… ‘Let Me Be Clear…’ (Click):
Kudos to Ron Ross for distilling in a mere 639 words why so many Americans hit the remote’s channel changer when Barack Hussein Obama comes on the telly. A highlight:
If someone looked at your face while watching President Obama make a speech or hold a press conference, I’ll bet it would reflect pain and discomfort. Your facial expression might be described as a grimace. There are a number of reasons for that kind of reaction. It might not even matter whether you are liberal or conservative. There is much about Mr. Obama’s style and content that repels rather than attracts.
For example, the man is tiresomely repetitive. How many times has he used the terms “millionaires and billionaires,” “shared sacrifice,” and “corporate jet owners”? He gives new meaning to the term ad nauseam. Most of what he repeats wasn’t worth saying the first time. You’re left wondering, “Is that all you’ve got?”
…A particularly annoying aspect of Mr. Obama’s personality is that he has virtually no sense of humor. There are very good reasons why humor is categorized as a “sense.” Humor is akin to a sense of taste or sense of balance. Individuals vary widely in regard to these characteristics. Successful comedians have inherent and highly developed senses of what’s funny and what’s not. They are “naturals.” Of course, there are people on the other end of the spectrum, such as Mr. Obama.
