Liberal Media Hypocrisy & Libel: What If the Congressional Black Caucus Were Accused of Wanting Jews Gassed?

Posted By on September 6, 2011

Yesterday, I posted a lengthy post about the liberal media’s hypocrisy and leftwing fabrications about racism in the tea party movement. Not only have many black conservatives, including Rep. Allen West, spoken out against these despicable lies, but the media has chosen to ignore facts and lack of evidence. I’ve written about this many times before — additionally, black tea parties are on the rise, but lamestream media hacks won’t report on this phenomenon nor on the hate and vitriol lodged against black conservatives by racist liberals.

Even more outrageous have been the race-baiting claims of Democrat black congressman and the Congressional Black Caucus’s chief vote counter Andre Carson of Indiana. Rep. Carson proclaimed while speaking in Florida last week that tea party members and some members of Congress consider blacks “second-class citizens” and want to see blacks strung up from trees.

Disgusting. Where’s the proof, Mr. Congressman?

No evidence, no proof, all inflammatory lies. But the media has not demanded that Carson back his irresponsible, libelous claims against tea partiers — many in the liberal media have been oh-so-characteristically mute about his heinous fabrications. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz is also spouting the racist lies. Leftist news sources would rather follow Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, and Michele Bachmann to find minutia with which to smear them than to challenge Rep. Carson to provide any sliver of proof to support his defamatory remarks.

Video encore… black conservative Deneen Borelli wants Congressman Carson to provide proof.

Project 21′s Deneen Borelli to Democrat Rep. Carson: “Where is Your Proof?”

Dennis Prager at Townhall addresses Rep. Carson’s lies at his CBC gathering and how the media has responded to it — What If the CBC Were Accused of Wanting Jews Gassed:

Imagine a Jewish Congress member accusing the members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) of wanting to see Jews gassed. How would any decent American — on the right or left — describe such a statement? Loathsome? Morally reprehensible? An obvious lie?

All three descriptions would be entirely accurate.

Next question: How much media exposure would that libel be given?

Would it make the front page of The New York Times and The Washington Post? Would we read ferocious editorials from coast to coast? Would the story lead on TV newscasts?

Correct on all three, again.

Final question: Would said congressman be allowed to stay in office?

We all know the answer to that one, too.

So here’s a real question: If a black congressman charged that members of Congress who support the tea party “would love to see you and me (blacks) hanging from a tree,” what’s the difference between that libel and the made-up libel about the CBC wanting to see Jews gassed?

The answer, of course, is that there is no difference.

But because the left thinks in terms of race, gender and class rather than in traditional moral terms of right and wrong, and because the left dominates the media, only one of these two libels would be given the national attention and opprobrium they would both deserve.

Last week, Indiana Congressman Andre Carson told a CBC gathering in Florida that members of Congress who are members of the tea party want to see blacks “hanging from trees.” Because he is both a Democrat and a black congressman, the liberal news media, which means essentially all of our news media, has barely reported what is an almost uniquely vicious libel in American political history.

Given this uniqueness, it demands an explanation.

For Prager’s thoughtful explanation, click here for the rest of the essay.

A female UCLA student debunked the lies about tea party racism with a revealing video exposé last year — to the best of my knowledge, MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, and others ignored it. Fox News, the network liberals despise because it dares to expose the hypocrisies of the Democrat party and Team Obama, was the only major network that covered the story. Recent violent rhetoric by Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa Jr. against tea party members won’t be condemned by the White House. Way to go, Team Obama.

The 2012 election is only 426 days away, boys and girls…

Conservative blacks and black tea parties are on the rise - this event was protesting the NAACP in Los Angeles in July. The major liberal media sources didn't cover it.
