TOTUS, Come Home! Obama’s Teleprompter Stolen from Truck While in Virginia (video)

Barack Obama without his trusty teleprompter is like Gumby without Pokey, like Laurel without Hardy, like Beavis without Butthead.
The truck that was stolen has been recovered, but where is TOTUS???
FYI: TOTUS is an acronym and loving nickname bestowed upon the “Teleprompter Of The United States.”

TOTUS was taken — at least for a little bit.
That’s right, a truck carrying the president’s teleprompter (jokingly referred to as TOTUS, or the teleprompter of the United States), podiums, and audio equipment was stolen in Virginia, WWBT-TV reports.
The Department of Defense confirmed the heist, but it’s unclear if the thieves targeted the vehicle for what it contained or simply got “lucky.”

NBC12 has uncovered one of those stories that makes you think: “How in the world does that happen?!” A truck filled with President Obama’s podiums and audio equipment was stolen in Henrico just days before his visit to Chesterfield.
We confirmed an investigation with the U.S. Defense Department. There are still a lot of questions. The biggest one being did the thieves intentionally target the President’s truck or did they take advantage of a crime of opportunity and give a big “uh-oh” when they saw what was inside.
When you see President Obama speak, there is a pretty typical setup including the presidential seal on a podium, the see-thru Teleprompter and a portable sound system.
Thieves saw the truck carrying that equipment and couldn’t resist the target.
We’re told the truck was parked at the Virginia Center Commons Courtyard Marriott in advance on Wednesday’s presidential visit to Chesterfield.
Sources said inside that vehicle was about $200,000 worth of sound equipment, several podiums and presidential seals, behind which only the President himself can stand.
They told NBC12 around 12:30 Monday afternoon that truck was recovered in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express near the airport and hotel staff confirm police activity. One guest we spoke with said he saw various law enforcement agencies examining a white box truck parked there.
According to him, the entire back parking lot was blocked off as Henrico Police along with “lots of guys in suits” investigated. He said the truck had no markings and no indication anything special was inside. That leads to another big question of whether or not any of that was actually stolen.
Late Monday evening we found a truck with US government tags still parked in the Marriott’s lot. We are waiting to find out if that is the original truck returned to the staff or a second vehicle.
We were able to get this statement from a Defense Information Systems Agency spokesperson: “No classified or sensitive information was in the vehicle. We take incidents such as this very seriously and a formal investigation is continuing.”

I’m sure you’ve experienced this. One minute you’re sitting in the back of a truck, not a care in the world, waiting to continue your road trip for yet another appearance before adoring fans … and then your world is turned upside down.Okay. Maybe that doesn’t happen to you; maybe it’s only me and Big Guy and Lady Gaga. But that’s pretty much been my world for the past four years, and now I fear the end may be near for me. No, not the fact that Big Guy’s poll numbers indicate that he couldn’t be an imaginary Republican, let alone a living, breathing candidate like Herman Cain.
I’ve been kidnapped, and if Big Guy thinks he can negotiate with these guys the same way he talks to the terrorists in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, the Philippines, Mexico, Venezuela and the House Republican Conference, he better think twice.

No interviews have been conducted with Pres. Obama about the theft, which is sage White House PR, because without TOTUS, he’d likely be “speechless.” (Rimshot!)
TOTUS’s role is a vital, under-appreciated one, since without TOTUS controlling what spews from Captain Clueless’s mouth, a predictable, horrifying flood of village-idiot gobbledegook of Obama flubs, gaffes, and blunders ensue. We’ve seen — and heard — the vocal meltdowns happen many times before.
Without TOTUS, POTUS is just that much more of an empty suit. And White House spokesperson Jay Carney told the press that while he had heard of the TOTUS-theft incident, he had “no independent knowledge” of the matter. Snort. Another empty suit.
Can’t have Barack thinking and speaking at the same time without some serious help from his missing teleprompter, as this video reminds us of just the tip of the Obama Blunders Iceberg:

The left wing Lunatics have the nerve to criticize the Conservatives running for office whenever they mispronounce a word! Yet their own President, Moron Obama, can’t get ANYTHING right if it’s not written down on his Teleprompters! And EVEN THEN…he called Navy Corpsman a “Navy Corpse Man” as in dead body…not once, not twice, but THREE times he read that from the Teleprompter…and got it wrong! What does it say when the Commander In chief doesn’t even know what a Navy Corpsman is!!! I say again…MORON!
