Obama’s Misguided Love of China’s Flawed, Deadly Infrastructure, Polluting Construction, & Massive Traffic Jams (video)

Barack Obama has been in awe of communist China long before he was elected president.

That awe is dismally misplaced, naive, and frightening — just like his self-absorbed disconnect with America and his ignoring of plummeting approval polls, the president is delusional. He sees only what he wants to see in order to pattern our country after China and to push through his communist/Marxist/socialist vision for America. Just like the myriad communists, Marxists, and socialists driving the violence and mayhem at Occupy Wall Street protests.

An eye-opening video from Granny Jan and Jihad Kitty… summary of video: “Obama is either a fool or a Marxist or both.” My money’s on the latter.

America-hating Obama Loves the People’s Republic of China

Reported by Reaganite Republican, The Folly of Central Planning:

Over 65 M completed new homes sit unused in China, along with public buildings/accompanying infrastructure…

The massive public projects under way in communist China today include sprawling housing developments, retail shopping districts, and ‘forests’ of skyscrapers. Since they were built to support the country’s ongoing economic boom and real-estate rush, all these tower block condos, economic centers, and recently-built neighborhoods should be bustling with hard-working Chinese newcomers from the countryside… or so you’d think.

But satellite pictures taken earlier this year revealed that China’s odd unused-housing stock glut has only gotten worse, if anything: they indeed built it, yet nobody came as of yet. The photos betrayed dozens of newly-erected ‘ghost-towns’ that have resulted from Beijing’s communist leaders’ insistence upon building “20 cities a year for the next 20 years” – as recently announced in the government-controlled Chinese newspapers.

Summary of NTDTV video below:

The Chinese regime’s massive economic stimulus package, for countering the economic crisis, provided billions for major infrastructure and building projects. But those projects are also creating another problem. Beijing authorities say 40 million tons of construction waste is generated each year—much of it is piling up around the city and polluting the environment.

The construction boom in China is leaving behind a big problem—waste —and a lot of it. Millions of tons of construction waste is generated each year. Most is not properly disposed of and is threatening the environment.

In Beijing, 40 million tons of construction waste is produced every year, that’s over 100,000 tons a day, according to local authorities. Because of cost cutting, only five percent of that waste is properly disposed of, and less than one percent is recycled.

You may not remember the horrific traffic jam in China back in August 2010 — here’s a bit on it with photos and a video that I posted back then — an infrastructure nightmare, Mr. President:

Currently, a major 60-plus-mile traffic jam there has stretched into DAYS. Yes, DAYS. And there’s no immediate end in sight.

Chinese authorities anticipate the traffic jam lasting until the middle of September. Another 3 to 4 weeks — holy cow.

Funny this record traffic jam is happening in China so soon after Obama’s Los Angeles traffic fiasco. You may recall that during the summer of 2008, just before the Summer Olympics, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama was SO impressed with and sang the praises of China’s infrastructure, even though at the time it was robbing desperate Chinese peasant farmers of water. And now, as we’re witnessing, China is in the middle of magnificent, epic traffic gridlock due to road construction.

As of this posting, the traffic jam in China has lasted 10 straight days and stretches for 60-plus miles - it's anticipated to last several more weeks

And it happened again, just a few months ago — or maybe the nightmare never fully stopped, but improved for a while to, oh say, a traffic jam stretching only 30 or 40 miles instead of 62:

And it continues in September 2011 — now the Chinese traffic jam is an agonizing 75 miles long:

And, a few disturbing videos of those “superior” bridges and highways in China that Pres. Obama spoke so highly of…

Summary of one of the Chinese Communist Party’s failed “glory projects”:

A new highway in China’s Yunnan Province collapsed just two days after it opened.

The Xinsan highway, stretching 57 miles, is one of the Chinese Communist Party’s “glory projects.” It was set to be unveiled for the CCP’s 90th anniversary on July 1.

But despite warnings from the construction team that they were being rushed, the deadline was absolute. State media reported that if the local government failed to meet the deadline, they would have to foot the bill themselves instead of getting money from the central government.

Then heavy storms crumbled the earth beneath the roads, washing a section of it into the valley below, killing two people and injuring two more.

This isn’t the only setback for projects rushed to completion before the July 1 anniversary. The new Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail had its second power failure on Tuesday, just two weeks after it was launched.

Thanks. I really hadn’t looked into the situation in China until I made this video but Obama’s continual praising of China peaked my interest.

I learned that Americans have been left totally ignorant about the situation in China by the MSM and that these videos attest to the fact that China does allow some criticism. Apparently, Obama hasn’t caught on to that.

No nation is perfect, but for Obama to insist that America is inferior to China (or inferior to any communist nation) is beyond ludicrous and marginalizes our nation’s freedoms and free market principles. Excellent video montage, Granny Jan – keep up the creative efforts!
