Obama Thanks God for Blessings in His Thanksgiving Day Address… Just Kidding (video)

A number of conservatives are angry that Pres. Barack Obama failed to mention or thank God in his annual Thanksgiving address this week.
Am I angry? No. No one can be logically angry at a two-legged dog for failing to run, nor be angry at a person who is deaf for failing to hear or a person who is blind for being sightless.
I’ve resigned myself to another 340-plus agonizing days of this self-absorbed Current Occupier in the Oval Office not being an embracer of the Constitution, not being a Christian, not caring about the country and its citizens that he was sworn to protect and serve, not being the “messiah” he and his sycophants portrayed him to be in 2008 to bamboozle millions of American voters to swoon with rock-star-groupie euphoria and elect him as the leader of our nation.
Any anger I may have is secondary to my resolution to inform the American public of this empty suit’s true character, his lack of leadership skills, and his anti-free market, anti-personal freedom agenda to transform America so that they will joyously vote this Marxist charlatan out of office in 2012.

In all fairness to the Spendthrift in Chief, he did say “God bless you” at the end of his Thanksgiving address.
Just like when a waitress or clerk chirps “Have a nice day” or when any politician starts a sentence with “Let’s be perfectly honest.”

Obama delivered a fairly straightforward holiday message, claiming that he and his family, like many Americans, would spend Thanksgiving day “eating great food, watching a little football, and reflecting on how truly lucky we are.”

In this video, Barack Obama is “thankful,” over and over again for his abundant blessings but utters no credit to the Almighty. Perhaps it’s the new-age Oprah-form of religion: we create our own personal power and derive blessings through that power. With Rules for Radicals committed to memory and two years of a morally bankrupt Democrat Congress trampling the Constitution and abdicating all power to him, Obama is his own blessing creator. I doubt this country has ever had a Thanksgiving Day Presidential address without a single mention of God.

Critics of President Obama felt little holiday cheer after the president did not thank God in his Thanksgiving-themed weekly Internet address. They immediately took to Twitter and the Internet to voice anger and disbelief.
“Holy cow! Is that one screwed up or what?” columnist Sherman Frederick of the Las Vegas Review-Journal wrote in a Thanksgiving-morning blog post.
“Somebody ought to remind Obama (and his speechwriter) that when Americans sit down around a meal today and give thanks, they give thanks to God.”
Over on the website of Fox News Radio, radio host Todd Starnes also took issue.
“His remarks were void of any religious references, although Thanksgiving is a holiday traditionally steeped in giving thanks and praise to God,” Starnes wrote.
“The president said his family was ‘reflecting on how truly lucky we truly are,’” Starnes said. “For many Americans, though, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on how blessed and thankful they are.”
The popular website of London’s Daily Mail has taken the issue global, with a story under the headline “What a Turkey! Outrage as Obama Leaves God Out of His Thanksgiving Address.”
“Boom and bust,” the pain caused by “reckless speculation” — in his address, was Obama inadvertently referring to his growing scandals of Solyndra, LightSquared, Siga Technologies, and ACORN? Or to his endorsement of corruptocrat Jon Corzine as a White House financial adviser before Corzine’s MF Global company lost $1.2 billion? Or to the president’s growing number of other cronyism-driven debacles, sweetheart deals, and unsavory associations that he and his administration are linked to, like newly sentenced Chicago crook and Obama bundler Tony Rezko or domestic terrorist Bill Ayers? Or, the worst Thanksgiving week Wall Street has had in nearly 80 years, since the Great Depression?
Or, was POTUS referring to his unconstitutional, ill-conceived, health-care-rationing, grotesquely expensive and freedom-robbing ObamaCare that will permit the government to take over one-sixth of the nation’s economy?
Difficult to say… there are so many possibilities from which to choose.
