Americans are hurting financially, and with Christmas only days away, Pres. Barack Obama wants us to believe he feels our financial pain and his seriousness about payroll taxes.

So, he does what any compassionate leader would do during tough economic times… he goes on a photo op Christmas shopping trip and spends $24.99 on a freakin’ chew toy for his trusty Portuguese Water Dog, Bo.

What the heck? Who, except maybe the evil, rich 1% that Occupiers despise, would spend a whopping 25 bucks on a chew toy for a dog just before going on a lavish Christmas Hawaiian vacation? For most families, that chew toy would buy at least one bag of groceries.

Again, President Zero demonstrates that he is a narcissistic imbecile.

From Fox Nation, What Payroll Tax Fight? Obama Goes Christmas Shopping With Bo:

President Obama made a surprise visit to Best Buy and PetSmart Wednesday, picking up a rubber chew toy for his dog and Christmas gifts for his daughters.

The shopping trip in northern Virginia opened with the PetSmart stop, where Mr. Obama picked out a rubber chew toy that cost $24.99 and another item. Mr. Obama’s dog, Bo, was along for the ride, and he played with another dog at the store while Mr. Obama shook hands with shoppers.

Mr. Obama kept the tab to just over $40. The White House has been running a “What Does $40 Mean to You?” campaign designed to spotlight the money the average family will lose per paycheck if the payroll tax cut is not extended when it expires in less than two weeks.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney is struggling to put a positive spin on the Obama dog chew toy news story:

The president is reportedly dead serious about “no compromise” on the payroll tax bill and has communicated this with Speaker of the House John Boehner… more from The Lonely Conservative:

Obama called Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, too, but it doesn’t appear he told him to get back to work. It’s unknown whether he made the calls before or after his little shopping trip. It was a publicity stunt to demonstrate what an American family can do with $40. He bought a chew toy for his dog, as if that’s what Americans do who are struggling in this economy. What a bone head.

From Business Insider:

With his family already in Hawaii for the holidays, and the congressional stalemate over the payroll tax threatening to keep him in Washington through Christmas, President Barack Obama took the family dog on a lunchtime shopping trip.

Obama purchased a chew toy for Bo, his Portuguese Water Dog, as well as two video games (including Just Dance 3) and iTunes gift cards for his daughters.

“The girls beat me every time on these dance games,” Obama told reporters, “but you’ll never get a picture of me (playing) because I get graded F every time.”

And those F’s aren’t just for your dancing skills, Mr. President.
