For those who aren’t mesmerized into a holiday stupor by these sensuous young beauties modeling scanty Victoria’s Secret lingerie, and are wondering about the Christmas advert’s haunting background song, it is “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning,” sung by talented American bass jazz singer Johnny Hartman.
Hartman was briefly a member of Dizzy Gillespie’s group, although he was primarily a solo vocalist. He earned a Grammy nomination for Best Male Jazz Vocalist just two years before his death at age 60 in 1983.
