One of the women involved in the brawl was reportedly three months pregnant. She’s the one wearing green in the screenshots below.

Reported by News Channel 5, Occupy Protestors Fight on Christmas Day:

NASHVILLE, Tenn .- Protestors have been together since October 6th occupying Legislative Plaza. But on a day that many intended to be full of festivities, quite the opposite took center stage for a time.

“Well, today we’re celebrating mainly Christmas, but all holidays, of course,” said protestor Lauren Mindos.

The group’s plan to celebrate the holidays together seemed fitting, especially since they’ve spent so much time together over the past few months and friends have become like family.

“It was a beautiful day. There was music,” explained Mindos. “There was dancing.”

However, that peace didn’t last the entire day.

Tensions flared between Occupy Protestors on this Christmas day. The situation got so bad, one of the NewsChannel 5 videographers had to call police for help.

NewsChannel 5′s videojournalist was on assignment at Legislative Plaza Sunday covering the holiday celebration, when the angle of the story suddenly changed. Two of the protestors started arguing with each other; one of them was three-months pregnant. Harsh words led to hair pulling and punching, and both of them landed on the ground.

While other protestors tried to break up the situation, NewsChannel 5′s videographer called 911 for help. Medics rushed to the scene and took the pregnant protestor to the hospital to be checked out. Police started investigating the situation, and charges may be filed.

Gateway Pundit has posted a news video of the brawl.

From The Tennessean, Christmas can’t lure away Occupy Nashville protesters:

Members of Occupy Nashville spent time with their fellow protesters at the Tennessee Capitol on Christmas Day in hope of showing continued solidarity for the movement.

Since state troopers raided the encampment in late October and made 55 arrests, the state has had to back down. Gov. Bill Haslam ordered the charges dropped when Nashville courts refused to jail the protesters, and the state isn’t fighting a federal court order that found the raids had violated First Amendment rights.

Occupy Nashville has reoccupied the plaza, the number of tents has almost tripled, portable toilets have been installed and troopers walk a patrol. The protesters, who are now among the larger remaining groups nationwide, say they plan to stay through the winter.

Despite the love drum playing and holiday well-wishing Sunday, two women ended up in a fight with hair-pulling and punches thrown, as captured on News Channel 5 video.

One of the women claimed to be pregnant. Officers were investigating the incident, the station reported.
