Of Course: Obama Blows Off Subpoena for Documents of His Solyndra “Green Jobs” Loan Scandal (video)

Pres. Barack Obama on a Solyndra tour, before the company filed for bankruptcy and before the scandal of suspected cronyism with a taxpayer-funded $585 million loan from Obama's team

The “most transparent administration ever” could wind up being listed in the history books as “the most corrupt administration ever.”

Taxpayer-paid Team Obama’s refusal to cooperate with a congressional committee in releasing documents pertaining to the growing scandalous Solyndra investigation is stunning in its arrogance, but sadly, is not surprising.

Add to Solyndra numerous other scandals that only the courageous in the liberal media are reporting — the botched Operation Fast and Furious (aka Project Gunrunner and Project Gunwalker) guns-for-criminals debacle that resulted in the Mexican cartel murder of border agent Brian Terry, Siga Technologies, Inc., Amonix, Inc., LightSquared, SolarReserve LLC, and an escalating number of others.

Even the disgraced, late Pres. Richard M. Nixon, destroyed by the 1970s Watergate scandal, would likely be shocked at Obama’s hubris.

Sarah Palin was right — the Obama administration has energetically engaged in “crony capitalism on steroids.” Despite the solar panel company going belly up, employees are receiving bonuses… which one must presume we all have paid for. You’re welcome.

Reported at Commonsense and Wonder:

President Obama and his West Wing aides ignored a subpoena of documents pertaining to the Solyndra loan guarantee even after congressional investigators met with White House officials to negotiate the scope of the subpoena, according to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“The White House’s failure to comply with today’s document deadline is a sad milestone on the path chosen by this administration to obstruct and delay our investigation rather than cooperate and help deliver answers for taxpayers,” committee chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee chairman Cliff Stearns R-Fla., said in a statement this evening.

House investigators requested 12 categories of documents designed to explore a range of issues, such as Obama donor and Solyndra investor George Kaiser’s role in the solar company receiving a loan guarantee.

White House counsel disputed the initial subpoena in November, calling it “a significant intrusion on Executive branch interests.” Committee officials met with Obama’s attorneys to negotiate the subpoena, but the White House failed to produce the documents by the February 21 deadline.

“Despite an all star cast of presidential aides that have their fingerprints on Solyndra,” Upton and Stearns observed, “Larry Summers, Carol Browner, Ron Klain, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, Jim Messina, Dan Pfeiffer, Jay Carney, Cecilia Munoz, — the White House is having great difficult turning over relevant internal documents.”

The investigators said that Obama’s aides have not answered questions about the White House role in restructuring the Solyndra loan, who told Solyndra officials to delay announcing layoffs until after the 2010 midterms, and why the company received so much attention from senior advisers to the president.

From MRCTV — this brief, man-on-the-street survey/investigative video was produced a few months ago about the media’s lack of coverage on the Solyndra scandal:

MRCTV decided to conduct an experiment in Washington, D.C. and ask people on the street if they’ve heard about (what should be) a pretty big deal: Solyndra. We were also curious which news outlets they frequented to get a gist of how informed they were on the issue. Of the few people that have heard about it -except for one- Fox News informed them. The other person says he heard about it on The Colbert Report. Some people even thought it was medication, which is a good guess.
