Rocker Chris Cornell’s Acoustic Tribute to Whitney Houston — “I Will Always Love You” (video)

Posted By on February 26, 2012

Rocker Chris Cornell’s tribute to the late Whitney Houston with his rendition of “I Will Always Love You” at an Obama fundraiser in San Francisco has been on YouTube for about a week now. It’s already generated more than 1.6 million views.

In advance, while holding an acoustic guitar, Cornell told the audience, “I just learned this, so when I mess it up, forgive me.”

Gritty, unpolished, different — I loved it. And I didn’t think I would.

Well done, Chris. Rest in peace, Whitney.

I'm a conservative frugalist. My priorities: Watchdogging the government, making sure our tax dollars are spent wisely, living within our budgets (at home and in Washington, DC), and adhering to our Constitution and the conservative principles upon which it was developed by our founding fathers. Also, loving God, my family, and my country. Be wise, be frugal. God bless America!
