Oh, My… Anna Chapman, Sexy Deported Russian Spy, May Have Been Seducing a Member of Obama’s Administration (video)

Last week, beautiful flame-haired Russian spy Anna Chapman had them captivated at a fashion show in Moscow.
This week, it’s been revealed that Chapman, also known as “Agent 90-60-90,” may have been getting a bit too chummy (wink, wink) with an unnamed member of the Obama administration. Per several sources, including New York Daily News, Chapman was allegedly luring a U.S. cabinet member into some kind of sexual “honey trap.”
The wildly popular, femme fatale Anna is proving to be just as entertaining and unpredictable as most James Bond/Russian spy flicks I’ve seen… more popcorn, please.
Sexy red-headed Russian spy Anna Chapman came allegedly close to bedding a member of President Obama’s cabinet as part of a “honey trap,” according to a top US intelligence official.
In a new documentary, FBI counter-intelligence chief Frank Figliuzzi claimed Chapman got close enough to enacting the plot, London’s Daily Mail reported.
“We were becoming very concerned,’ he told the BBC. “They were getting close enough to a sitting US cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue.”
The cabinet member has not been identified.
Figliuzzi said the fear was that Chapman was close to seducing a sitting member of the Obama administration, prompting the FBI to arrest 10 people connected to the spy ring in June 2010.
Figliuzzi told the BBC documentary. which aired in Britain on Monday night, that Chapman got “closer and closer to higher and higher ranking leadership … she got close enough to disturb us.”
“I think part of her value was indeed her ability to be engaging, charismatic and I think to that extent she might have been viewed … as a potential honey trap,” he added. “She was getting closer and closer to higher and higher ranking leadership.”
Chapman was deported to Russia two years ago following her arrest.
From New York Daily News, Russian spy Anna Chapman was luring U.S. cabinet member into sexy ‘honey trap’: report:
Sexpot Russian spook Anna Chapman was on the brink of snaring a member of President Obama’s inner circle in a seduction “honey trap” when FBI agents busted her bush-league spy ring and sent them packing, an FBI chief revealed.
According to the British newspaper The Independent, C. Frank Figliuzzi, the FBI’s assistant director of counterintelligence, told the BBC in a recent interview that the ginger-haired bombshell’s relationship with a member of Obama’s cabinet was allegedly getting “close enough to disturb us.”
In fact, Chapman’s temptress vamp act with “higher and higher ranking leadership” was the final straw that prompted the agency to break up the amateurish sleeper cell in 2010, Figliuzzi said.
“We were becoming very concerned,” Figliuzzi said. “They were getting close enough to a sitting U.S. cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue.”
Figliuzzi, whose interview was part of the BBC’s new two-part series “Modern Spies,” refused to mention which Obama confidant Chapman got too cuddly with, The Independent reported.
In an email to the Daily News, a spokesman for the FBI said Figliuzzi never told the BBC that Chapman got close to a cabinet member and that the BBC show was misquoted by The Independent.
Justice Department officials told ABC News that Chapman’s fellow spook, Cynthia Murphy, was the spy who was trying to infiltrate Obama’s inner circle, not Chapman.
“Modern Spies” didn’t air in the U.S. and clips of the show, including one appearing to feature Figliuzzi, were not available online.
The Russian squad’s 10 members were booted back to Moscow in July 2010 in exchange for four Russians who were jailed for spying for the West.
From London Free Press, Chapman nearly bedded Obama staffer: FBI:
Glamorous Russian spy Anna Chapman came close to seducing an unnamed member of President Barack Obama’s inner circle before intelligence shut down her circle of spooks, a top U.S. intelligence official has claimed in a new British documentary.
FBI counter-intelligence chief Frank Figliuzzi claims the red-headed spy got “close enough to disturb” U.S. officials, he said in a BBC documentary.
“We were becoming very concerned,” Figliuzzi said, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports. “They were getting close enough to a sitting U.S. cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue.”
The honey trap spurred the FBI to arrest 10 people connected to the spy ring in June 2010, shortly before Chapman was deported.
Chapman, 30, has risen to fame since she was deported from the U.S. in a Cold War-style swap in July 2010.
This from International Business Times:
Chapman’s seductive powers are now well documented. Prominent New York businessmen have recalled cocktail parties where, after meeting the Russian beauty, they found themselves “completely incapable of thinking” and totally “knocked out.”
“I think part of her value was indeed her ability to be engaging, charismatic and I think to that extent she might have been viewed by [Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service] as a potential honey trap,” the FBI official said.
Figliuzzi didn’t name the official but there are 23 people in Obama’s cabinet, including Vice President Joe Biden, only one of whom — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano — wasn’t married at the time, although politicians with spouses can’t be excluded from the list of possible marks.
Figliuzzi’s statement was gender-neutral, a fact that the Ace of Spaces blog took to mean that a female cabinet member as high up as Hillary Clinton could have been a target of the Russian spy ring.
