The above quotation applies to many winged and four-legged mothers and their relationships with their children, not just to human mothers.
Be prepared to “oooooh” and “awwwwww” a bit over these precious photos of mother animals with their babies. I’ve collected most of these from emails sent to me by friends and family over the years, so, sadly, am unable to attribute photo credits.
