In a number of towns surrounding Grant County in Indiana, hollow fiberglass statues of popular comic strip character Garfield the Cat have been erected over the past few years. Today, Google celebrates on its homepage the 115th anniversary of cartoonist E.C. Segar’s birthday, the creator of the famous cartoon character Popeye.
